Knickergate, for those who missed it was one of those much ado about nothing storms that blow up in the Big Brother house, usually many times, during the course of each show.
On the 'Stag Night' Mickey, dressed as a bunny girl, found a pair of knickers in the bath in which he, Mario (the 'Groom'), and the Queen of Scotland, Dennis (also dressed as a bunny), were sitting. He decided to pull them on over his bunny outfit, much to the hilarity of the others (they were slightly drunk).
Into the bathroom come Miss Doom & Gloom ~ Alex, with Syliva and others. Turns out Sylvia owned the knickers and riled on by Miss Doom & Gloom ("out of order! disrespectful!"), proceeded to attack Mickey for doning her knickers. It was absolutely ridiculous. I really felt so sorry for Mickey. All the fizz of the fun of the bath frolicks was quickly disolved by the acid tongued harridans. Sylvia had a total Catherine Tate moment with her rant, all the while backed up by the chimes of Miss Doom & Gloom.
Mario, ever the diplomat, chimes in with 'you could sell them (the knickers) on Ebay ~ that man has a thing about Ebay ~ and make a fortune.' This sent the two harridans into a total tail spin of accusations and screaming.
Okay, IF Mickey had actually gone into the drawers (excuse the pun) of the girls that would have been out of order. BUT he found them in the bath! What sort of person leaves their knickers in a bath which is to be used by 15 other people? And he put them on in a fit of high jinks in the course of a stag do. For goodness sake! They were a pair of knickers which Sylvia hadn't cared enough about to actually wash and put away. And Mickey offered to buy her a replacement pair. This shouting continued for a while with Sylvia telling Mickey to F.Off. And he in turn told her to do the same. Meanwhile the others sat around looking totally embarrased.
Of course that was not the end of it. In the garden later the rants continued with Alex still attacking Mickey who was standing in the garden with Kewpie-Kat standing at his side looking totally hurt and upset at all the fighting. Mickey was trying to explain that it was only done in fun, not in malice, and all the while Miss Doom & Gloom, Alex, ranting on over him "disrespectful!" "I'm not being funny!" (no, you're not so bloody shut up!).
Once again Miss Doom & Gloom had the others all sitting around looking embarrased.
And though I am not very fond of Mario or indeed Luke, I have to hand it to them for going to the diary room to say to BB that they way Mickey was treated was way out of order. Which it most definately was.
